Keith Crider
Pastor |

Bro. Crider was ordained to the Gospel ministry in
1965 and has served as the pastor of Ascension Baptist
since April 1996. He is a Vietnam Veteran, a graduate
of East Texas Baptist College and New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary.
He
and his wife, Diane, have been married since 1968 and
have three children and seven grandchildren. They are
native Illinoisians having been born in Cairo,
Illinois. After 38 years of living in the Bayou State,
Louisiana is home now.
His
vision for the Ascension Baptist family is a vision of
Christlikeness. He dreams of the Church growing
individually and corporately more like Jesus Christ
everyday. |

Marvin R. Reed, Jr.
Associate Pastor |

Bro.
Reed was licensed to the Gospel Ministry in 1997
and ordained in 2004. He has served on the ministry staff
of Ascension Baptist Church since August of 2002. He is
an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Pensacola Junior College,
University of West Florida, and New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary.
He and
his wife, Nicole, have been married since 2004 and have
three children, Abigail Grace, Elijah Jacob and Micah
Ray. He is a
native Floridian, and she is a native Louisianan. Following God’s call and direction for their life,
Louisiana has become home to both of them.
His
vision for the Ascension Baptist family is a vision of
togetherness as the Body of Christ. A passion of his and
Nicole’s heart is to link the generations within the
church. ONE BODY… ONE CHURCH… ONE MISSION… Come and join
in all of the fun and help them see their vision become a
reality. |

Reed Endel
Minister of Music |

Bro. Endel taught in the public schools of Texas and
Arkansas as a band director for 9 years before
coming as the Worship Leader at Ascension Baptist
Church. He has also served as the part-time
Music Minister at First Baptist Church in
Dardanelle, Arkansas. He is now a student at
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a
Master of Divinity degree, concentration in Church
Music.
Reed is a 1998 graduate of Arkansas Tech University,
where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music
Education. He was a two-time All-State
trombone player in High School. His parents
are Bob and Lequieta Endel of Hamburg, AR. Bob
is the Worship Leader at First Baptist Church in
Hamburg, and Lequieta is the Music Teacher at
Anderson Elementary in nearby Crossett, AR.
